Journal Policy
Welcome to Taraba State University Journal of communication and Media studies Publishing Platform. We are committed to providing a space for quality content that informs, educates, and inspires. Below is our journal policy, which governs the submission, review, and publication of articles on our platform.
1. Submissions should be original research reports of the author(s), and must NOT be under consideration for publication anywhere else.
2. All submissions will undergo plagiarism and AI detection tests. Articles exceeding 15% plagiarism or 15% AI-generated content will be rejected.
3. Authors must disclose any use of AI tools in their submissions, ensuring such contributions do not exceed 15%. The use of AI to generate entire articles, research ideas, or data is strictly prohibited. Authors remain fully accountable for the integrity, originality, and validity of their work. Non-compliance with this policy will result in a public ban from the journal..
4. Articles should reflect the name (first name, middle name and surname), affiliation and contact details of the author(s) on the first page. These details should not appear inside the work to enable for blind peer review process;
5. Articles submitted should not exceed 7000 words (including references), and should contain an informative abstract of not more than 250 words;
6. APA reference style (7th edition) is recommended, and should be applied both in in- text citation, and on the reference page;
7. Articles should be submitted as attachment in Microsoft Word, and should be typed using Times New Romans, 12 points and justified;
8. The Journal is inclined to British English, which should reflect all through the journal. Although American English is also accepted, authors must be consistent with whichever style they adopt for their article;
9. Papers are to be submitted alongside assessment fee of Five Thousand Naira (5,000) only to the

Authors whose papers are accepted for publication after the blind peer review process would be required to pay a pagination fee of Twenty Thousand Naira (20,000) only to the bank account stated above using your article code as Description
10. The journal accepts submissions year-round; however, publications are released biannually, in June and December, except for special editions. Manuscripts can be submitted via email at tsu.jcms@gmail.com or through our online submission system at www.tsujcms.org Authors using the online system must create an account, which allows them to upload their manuscripts, monitor the progress of their submissions, and receive updates on the review process in real time
