Who We Are

The TSU Journal of Communication and Media Studies (TJCMS) is a bi-annual publication of the department of Mass Communication, Taraba State University Jalingo. The journal covers all areas of research interest in communication and media studies such as development communication, intercultural and cross cultural communication, gender studies, new media and emerging trends in communication, public relations, advertising, corporate communication, media and society and conflict sensitive journalism among others. The journal also accepts articles from related disciplines in the humanities, social science and education that examine communication issues from outsiders’ perspectives as they relate to, or affect/impact those disciplines. The journal accepts both empirical and conceptual research articles that are products of original research conducted by the author(s).

The vision of TSU Journal of Communication and Media Studies (TJCMS) is to provide a world-class avenue, where research issues in the field of communication studies would be published to enhance the course of human interaction via the various media of communication. TJCMS envisions a platform that would serve as hub of quality communication research documentation to ensure continuous improvement on the processes, principles and practices of communication.
